Established in 1989, 1st Industrial & Commercial began as a specialist waste oil collection service. As demand within the fuel services sector grew, so did the business—expanding into fuel tank cleaning, fuel polishing, mechanical strip-out, plant movement, and positioning. Today, these remain the core services we proudly specialise in.
Our roots trace back even further to 1984, with the formation of Gillingham Oil Services Ltd. Initially focused on waste oil collection, the company quickly diversified into tank cleaning, removal, and mechanical services. Building on this strong foundation, 1st Industrial has evolved year on year—developing expertise, expanding capabilities, and investing in a highly skilled team supported by modern plant and specialist vehicles.

We invest heavily in ongoing training and professional development, encouraging all team members to enhance their skills through specialist courses. Every operative holds a CSCS card and is trained under the CPCS scheme, ensuring competence and compliance across all projects.
