Advance preparation ensured a smooth decommissioning and removal of two 15-tonne boilers from Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex.
Managed over a period of two weeks, two 15 tonne boilers were decommissioned and removed from Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex by the 1st Industrial and Commercial Services team.
After the initial process of disconnecting and removing the services to the boilers was completed, steel road plates were used to make a temporary platform underneath the heavy units. The next stage involved using 1st Industrial and Commercial Services’ own 2.5 tonne fork truck. With the decommissioning team skating the boilers to the waiting transport vehicle. Loading was then handled by a 100 tonne crane supplied by trusted partner, City Lifting.
