When an Ink production plant in Kent changed their production method they required the holding tanks and various plant to be decommissioned and striped out so they turned to 1st Industrial and Commercial.
The 1st Industrial and Commercial team removed the dangerous and corrosive chemicals from the tanks, then safely disposed of them. The tanks were then cleaned, cut up and removed using specialist cold cutting equipment, fork-trucks and cranes. The tanks and plant were then split between recycling and reuse at other sites. All this took place just metres from a live production line.
The project took two months to complete and 1st Industrial and Commercial continues to have a working relationship with the organisation.
